Last Saturday the members of Jong N-VA chose a new president and a new board. 23- year- old Kim Van Cauteren will be leading Jong N-VA for the next two years. She works as a personal assistant to the Member of the Flemish Parliament, Matthias Diependaele, and is at the same time studying history at the Catholic University of Leuven. She was the National Secretary in the previous board.

Kim Van Cauteren: “As the youth wing of Flanders’ biggest party, Jong N-VA is facing some major challenges. Our membership numbers have exploded over the past few months. Now we should take advantage of all this positive energy to start up more local sections all over Flanders. We already have  plans to strengthen our ideological basis with a congress in November about Science, Innovation and Ethics. We also want to work on our European and international relations.”

The other members of the board of Jong N-VA that were elected at the General Assembly last Saturday are:  Kristof Cooreman (Secretary), Eva Paelinck (External Relations Coordinator) and Stijn Delmotte (Editor). Later this month some more people will join the board.
